How to request an Inclusion Support Staff:

The deadline to register for inclusion support is June 2, 2025.  After the deadline has passed, we encourage you to inquire and we will do our best to find support but it is not guaranteed.  Support will be scheduled on a first come, first served basis.

 How do I know if additional support is required?

Extra support may be required for camp participation if:

  • Extra support is required at school in the classroom.
  • A physical, development, and or learning disability exists.
  • Extra support is needed at home for basic care (toileting, feeding, changing, etc).
  • Participant has a safety plan in place with their educational institution.

 

Camps Participant Profile 

Requires Epi-Pen:
 
Does the participant commonly display self-injurious behavior?
 
Are there any circumstances in which the participant may become physically aggressive such as hitting, punching, biting?
 
Is aggression towards others, peers and/or adults, a common occurrence with the participant?
 
Is the participant likely to wander or run away?
 
Does the participant engage in any self-stimulating/regulating behaviors?
 
Are there any behaviors that are inappropriate and/or you do not want to encourage?
 
Do you have any concern about the participant being outdoors (i.e. heat sensitivity, bugs/insects, etc.)
 
Do you have any concern about the participant around water (lakes, ponds, pools, etc.)
 
How does the participant handle transitions? Would the participant be successful wth:
 
Does the participant require assistance for changing/dressing:
 
Does the participant require assistance with diaper/toileting?
 
Does the participant require assistance for eating/g-tube or dietary?
 
Does the participant require assistance for mobility/assistive devices (gasses, hearing aids, etc.)?
 
Does the participant require assistance for transfer, weight bearing:
 
Will the participant be able to practice hand-washing routine several times a day, independently or with instruction/verbal prompting?
 
If the participant is unable to practice hand washing, will they be able to apply hand sanitizer on their own with instruction/verbal prompting?
 
Does the participant require personal care support (ex. toileting, changing, feeding, maneuvering)?
